The psalms continue with, “Nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.” Standing in the way of sinners is not a physical stance, but a conscious thought within to the accepting of the ways of those in continuous sin provoking thought; to the doing of likewise. You have mentally placed your feet upon the path occupied by sinners, and there is a saying, “You become the company that you keep.”
Then we have, “sitting in the seat of the scornful.” Many can say they know a vocal, negative, always complaining friend. Yet, this sitting in the seat of the scornful represent hearing, and accepting their contempt. You have become comfortable in being bathed, or taught by their scornful ways, that you too cannot receive wisdom, or truth from the knowledge of Yah’s word. Their thoughts become your thoughts, and as a man thinketh so is he.
Yet Enoch walked with Yah. Again, we know this is not a physical walk, but an action of thought within. The desire to know God. Can we not then say these four words are a mental illustration of one who has “delight in the law of Yehovah, and in his law he doth meditate day and night?” And we understand that those that do so can be likened to a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season.
After the birth of Methuselah, Enoch walked with Yah, studied Yah’s word, meditated on Yah’s word, found delight in Yah’s word, and his leaf, his spark of life within that reflects outwardly upon the outer man, did not wither.
Who is awake? Can you not see in these four words, Enoch walked with Yah, the doing well, and the reward of the commandment given to Moses by Yah? Hear again the commandment and let understanding overcome you.
Deu 30:11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
Deu 30:12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
Deu 30:13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
Deu 30:14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
Deu 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
Deu 30:16 In that I command thee his day to love Yehovah thy Elohim, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgements that thou mayest live…
Enoch walked with Yah, and was not because Yah took him. He bathed himself in Yah’s word, keeping his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgements and life was his forever. What is your walk, my beloved? Are you seeking after life, or to become like the chaff which the wind driveth away which is the walk of the ungodly. What say you? I hear your voice. Jesus is my Lord and Savior. But even Yahushua came teaching; Joh 14:15 If you love me, keep my commandments.
Joh 14: 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Joh 15:6 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
So, we see Enoch walked with Yah, and was not because Yah took him. His walk was the illustration of the 1st Psalm, and we know he was blessed because he was not, he tasted not of death, because he pleased Yah. Likewise, also we have the commandments of Yah as they were given to Moses, and in his commandments he states, “…I have set before you life, and death, blessings and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live”
Then we have the living testimony of the only begotten Son, the one in whom Yah said he was well pleased. And Yahushua walked with Yah in obedience to his every word. And he has come to be a light unto the world. That blessed redeemer who now has become the way, the truth, and the life we must follow, because no one goes unto the Father, unless he comes to the Son. He is the path we must walk. Not unto acknowledging his existence with shouting, and praise, but with the doing of his word. Has he not said; “He that has my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me?”
So what of you dear reader, what shall be said of you? Consider now the path at your feet, are you seeking to be blessed of Yah, having a demonstration of walking after his word in obedience? Or, do you follow the ways of man’s religion? Believing the dogma and the rituals to be the New Testament way to salvation, and not seeing them for what they are, confusion and darkness leading to a path of destruction. Take a look at the path at your feet. What do you see?
What say you?
