Woman, be of good comfort, your faith has made you whole. These are the words of the Master that he spoke to the certain woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years. Who had suffered many things, by many physicians, and spent all that she had and was none better, even worse. But when she heard of the Master Yahushua, and this hearing is not of the ears only, but dictates to a belief to the changing of thought, she said within herself.
This story is in the Bible for one purpose, to teach us about the laws of thought, and how these laws govern the outer actions and manifestations of all things. Have you not read, “As a man thinketh in his heart (subconscious mind) so is he. The certain woman said WITHIN herself. Is this not an internal personal conversation with self. Or, the thought actions within consciousness in acceptance of a new belief, or TRUTH, that transforms the outer self.
After spending all she had and wasting time, and energy on those govern by the limitations of the world, some would say she had an epiphany. We are not told her background, therefore we can only assume that throughout her life she heard mention of the coming Messiah, and that he would restore all things. Judging by her actions this scripture in Isaiah was not unknown to her…Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgression, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace is upon him, and with his stripes we are healed. But it was not the knowing of this scripture that brought forth the healing she so desired, but her thought actions within called belief. Yahushua said, “If you can believe all things are possible.”
What is this law, you say? It is the law that speaks to; “As you sow, so shall you reap.” It is the law that governs the spiritual power abiding within man, and the law behind the power by which man was made. In this biblical story of the certain woman, the Father so beautifully illustrates this law in violation, then, through her repentance, her change in thought, we see the law operating in perfect harmony.
The story begins with her trusting in the flesh, walking by sight, not by faith. Twelve years she was afflicted with a disease, seeking help from the physicians of the day, only to get worse. Understand, her trust was in man, (the I of myself can do nothing) to the forsaking of the Father and his word. “Bless Yehovah, O my soul and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.” Her faith directed thought was in man, and not on the Father, which resulted in her spending all her money to no avail.
Then comes her repentance, her change in thinking. For she hears that Yahushua is passing by, the word of God made flesh. Now her attention is drawn to the promises of the word. “By his stripes we are healed.” She undergoes her mental redemption, a return to Yahweh, and right-use ness. With these few words, “For she said within herself,” If I can touch the hem of his clothes I shall be made whole,” we see the truth in this scripture, or spiritual law, “As a man/woman thinketh in their heart, so is he.”
Let us remember, it has now been twelve years of suffering from this disease. How is it possible she can receive her healing by thought BELIEVED? Because this is exactly what is taking place. We are seeing Kingdom principles in action. When your thoughts are governed by IT IS WRITTEN, you have now entered the realm called the Kingdom of Heaven where the word of Yahweh rules. Is this a simple process, of course not? Did she not suffer twelve years before the appearance of Yahushua brought her thoughts back on what was written of him? Remember, she said, “If I can touch the hem of HIS clothes,” for her to think these words, some knowledge of him (Yahushua) had to be known. But knowledge alone means nothing, it is belief that moves mountains.
If you can believe. These are the words of the Master and they speak of the difficulties many have in believing to the acting on his word. Recall the scene of the certain woman. Hearing Yahushua is passing by, she says within herself, “If I can touch the hem of his clothes I shall be made whole.” Then she forges her way through the MULTITUDE of people thronging the Master to touch the hem of his garment. Immediately the Master turns about asking, “Who touched me?” Meaning ONE! There is a multitude of people thronging Yahushua, the disciples words attest to this. “Thou seeth the multitude THRONGING thee and sayeth thou, Who touched me?”
“Who touched me, the Master says again, for I perceive that virtue has gone out from me.” Who means one, and virtue did not go out to all, only the certain woman, why? Because she alone had the faith to be healed. The Master echoes this when he said, “Woman be of good cheer, your faith has made you whole.”
Several times before he performs a healing miracle, the Messiah would ask the question, “Do you believe I am able to do this?” We can liken this to a subtle mental suggestion to where the subject is guided towards a particular form of thought. “Do you believe, yes or no. With the certain woman his reaction is one of surprise. “Who touched me? The twelve, not understanding a miraculous healing had just taken place, looked upon the multitude THRONGING him, or pressing upon him, and say in dismay, “You see these people thronging you, and you say, who touched me? Who touched me, the Master says again. Now, remember these words, “For I perceive virtue has gone out from me.”
What is the definition for the word virtue ? Merriam-Webster lists one of the definitions as: The good results that come from something! The certain woman SAID within herself, “If I can touch the hem of his clothes I shall be made whole. Is this not a clear demonstration of the word virtue? Is not the healing she desired the results of her thoughts she believed within (Consciousness)? Does not the words the Master said unto the woman agree with this? Hear his words again. “Woman, be of good cheer, YOUR FAITH has made you whole.
He did not say, “Do you believe I am able to do this? He did not ask, “Where is your faith, as he asked the disciples. He said, “Your faith has made you whole.” Or, your mental actions of thought in belief of God’s word, or what has been written of me has healed you. Again, the definition for Virtue is, “The good results that come from something, the something in the case of the certain woman is, Belief within.
“As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.”
Yahushua taught, “Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven.” The United States is a Kingdom, you may call it a nation, still it represents a kingdom with it citizens governed by laws. Likewise also, the kingdom of heaven has laws that govern the citizens of its kingdom, and theses citizens have a name called thoughts. The laws of the kingdom state, “Guard your heart with all diligence for out from it comes the issues of life.”
The word heart in this law represents the subconscious mind, and the subconscious mind knows only to do. It doesn’t questions, it only obeys. Therefore, guard your heart, or observe closely the thoughts you believe, for they become the issues you confront in life. This is spiritual law. Can you not see this law in action with the certain woman? Did she ask Yahushua, to heal her? No! Did she scream and holler, then collapses to the ground needing someone to fan, and place a blanket on top of her? No!
She said WITHIN herself, “If I can touch the hem of his clothes, I shall be made whole.” She was obedient to the law and the law rewarded her. Did not Yahushua say, “According to your faith be it done unto you?” We see her faith in action as she forges through the multitude to touch only his hem. We see the Master turn about looking, searching, for whom virtue has gone out to. We hear him proclaim, “Who touched me?” Then comes the woman in joy knowing what good has been done in her. She tells the Master all. Woman, the Master says, be of good comfort, your faith has made you whole.
Today, like the certain woman, many are suffering in the world. Their thoughts within are a continuous bombardment of carnality, and the law is, “As a man/woman soweth, so shall they reap. If they, like the certain woman, would turn away from a continuous violation of spiritual law, and look unto Yahushua, the word of Yahweh made flesh. He who has come to be a savior to those in the world, to whom he cannot be without belief. If they could go within and began to steer all thoughts unto the truths to be found in IT IS WRITTEN, they too, as well as you, would hear the Master say, “Be of good cheer, your FAITH, has made you whole.
